Why am I here on this sandy shore? You led me here, I followed you this far. You said to me, "take a step into the blue". One step I took and found my path. Stepping stones, stepping stones, I will walk across this ocean. Step by step, stone by stone, I will follow. When the mist falls and my eyes deceive me. Can't see ahead and these ghosts, they follow. Reminding me of the path before this. But you keep me moving one step one stone at a time. Stepping stones, stepping stones, I will walk across this ocean. Step by step, stone by stone, i will follow. Here I am, I'm dripping wet, these cold waves are trying to move me, but I'll hold onto each stone and by your grace I am saved. And every storm has a sunrise and not a wave will prevail against the light of the hope that you've set upon my path. Stepping stones, stepping stones, I will walk across this ocean. Step by step, stone by stone, I will follow. I will follow. Stepping stones, stepping stones, I will walk across this ocean. Step by step, stone by stone, I will follow. I will follow these stepping stones.

Feel like a lone wolf running, hunter is on my tail. He's got his arrows flying, trying to bring me down. But I know of a place high above the ocean. A castle on a clifftop, my last and only hope. The Lion's Refuge. The Lion's Refuge. Oh your castle is calling and I will keep following you. Though I'm tripping and falling, I manage to fall through. Through those open doors waiting 'cause you saw me coming home. To the Lion's Refuge. To the Lion's Refuge. Just as my hope is fading, I look to my side and see the lion running, the hunter turns and flees. The wolf and the lion. The wolf and the lion. Oh your castle is calling and I will keep following you. Though I'm tripping and falling, I manage to fall through. Through those open doors waiting, 'cause you saw me coming home. To the Lion's Refuge. To the Lion's Refuge. Oh your castle is calling and I will keep following you to the Lion's Refuge. To the Lion's Refuge. Not alone anymore.

Oh a sailor will go, away where he's told. And will pull up full nets with a heart filled with hope. And through faith every sailor becomes a fisher you know. And soon he'll be called so far from his home. Oh fishers of men, please know that I'm praying to the God of the sea, That you'll soon be home sailing back to your family. When it's dark out at sea and the stars all come out. Fisher's feeling alone, and his hearts filled with doubt. He'll look up to those lights shining, and he'll know the creator smiles back down at him. Oh fishers of men please know that I'm praying to the God of the sea, That you'll soon be home sailing back to your family. Like the waves your heart's breaking, torn by the distance of seas. But you must know your fishing, your fishing for the King. So, oh fishers of men please know that I'm praying to the God of the sea, that I'll soon be out fishing, be out fishing just like you.

Prodigal 04:54
You made a path for me through the wilderness. It led me to the deepest waters. One way around I did not follow. Into the siren's song I fell. I'm reaching out, I'm calling your name. I'm going down, I'm sinking in my own shame. Don't let this place become my home stuck with this heavy heart of stone. Far from your light I seemed to walk and soon forgot all that I was taught. Too far away to hear you call, "in the darkness, son you'll fall." I'm reaching out, I'm calling your name. I'm going down, I'm sinking in my own shame. Without delay you took my hand and put me back onto solid land. Out of the drift and back with you, to see your love and to wander true. And this old path I'll never leave, hard and narrow it may be. Prodigal, prodigal and yours. I am prodigal, prodigal and yours. I am prodgial, prodigal and yours.

about

Northern Irish Duo MANY A SON have released their first-ever EP. Recorded live in a living room, rough and ready, 'The Blue' has its foundations in the Atlantic Ocean and all the stories to do with the sea. It begins as all good stories do, with one step in an unfamiliar direction.

'The Blue' brings you to cliffs soaring above oceans, tales about castles, the fear of open water and those brave enough to cast their boats out into it. Like the call of sirens each song pulls you deeper as guitar and vocals ebb and flow together.

So take a step with them into 'The Blue'.
